Seattle Department of Parks and Recreation
 
 
Mickey Fearn is the Manager of Community Connections for the Seattle Department of Parks and Recreation. Other positions he has held with the City of Seattle are:
 
·      Senior Policy Analyst
·      Manager of the Race and Social Justice Initiative
·      Director of the Neighborhood Leadership Program, and
·      Director of the City of Seattle Innovation Project
·      Organizational Development Specialist
 
His 42 year public service career includes experience as a manager, project manager, mediator, internal consultant, trainer, and facilitator. He specializes in new program development and implementation and conflict facilitation.
 
Mickey has worked in the executive offices of two Governors, three County Executives and three Mayors.
 
He has a Bachelor’s Degree from California State University, Sacramento and a Master's Degree from the University of Oregon.
 
Mickey has served on the National Board of Directors of Big Brother Big Sisters, City Year Seattle/King County, and the Pacific Northwest Ballet. He also served on the State of Washington State Commission for Law and Justice and just completed 12 years on the State of Washington Parks and Recreation Commission. .
 
Mickey’s primary personal interests, other than his family, are cooking and youth sports. He is has been married for 25 years. He is the proud father of two children Allison, a recent graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design, and Nicholas a freshman and basketball player at the University of Oregon, his alma mater.
